Tree trimming and mulching work may cause delays on Mamalahoa Highway in Kona starting next week.
Hawaii County crews will be working from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22 through July 10. The work area spans from Manago Hotel in Captain Cook north to Teshima’s Restaurant in Honalo. An alternate route is available via the Mamalahoa Highway bypass.
The work will require the closure of one lane on the highway, the county said. Motorists should anticipate delays.
Roadwork is weather permitting and will not occur on weekends or holidays.
